Description

Join us for a Whale Watching Tour in North Iceland

Enjoy a comfortable whale watching tour while observing the fantastic scenery, birdlife, and of course the diverse range of whale species of Eyjafjordur. Commonly, we see Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Harbour Porpoise, and White Beaked Dolphins. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a Killer Whale or a Blue Whale!

Each one of our captains spend their winters as professional fishermen. Therefore you can be assured you’re in good hands during the summer season of whale watching.

In 2017 we had a 100% success rate of spotting whales and expect no less this year. However, please note that we cannot guarantee the same success rate.

100% sighting success

Whale Watching Hauganes is located in a small fishing village called Hauganes on the west coast of Eyjafjörður bay in northeast Iceland, just 30 min drive north of Akureyri on road 82.

Please arrive in Hauganes at least 30 minutes before departure.
We offer warm extra clothing, but we still recommend that passengers bring their own warm and waterproof clothes.
